I am sad to deliver the news that one of my best friends has passed away. William Cope (Bill) has passed on and there will be a wake on Saturday December 18th in Gainesville Florida in his rememberance. Any of you who wish to attend please contact me directly at adamanteus70@aol.com. This will be a happy celebration of Bill's life and how we remember the good times with him.
Somes of you may know or remember Bill when he was active on this forum and went by the name of buzzworm. Bill was a accomplished artist and drew many cartoons in the Reptiles magazine, and his most famous work is the logo of the Gourmet Rodent. Bill served in the US Air Force and was involved with the Gainesville Herp Society for many many years.
As a traveling, camping, and road cruising companion we spent alot of time in the Osceola, Apalachicola and Ocala National forests here in Florida, and countless trips to South Carolina to snake hunt.
Bill was also a cancer survivor, and had many friends across the US, I know of one member here who met him and herped with Bill on their ranch in Terlingua Texas a few years back.
Bill enjoyed herping West Texas, and spent every year doing a road trip out west to search for the infamous greybands there. It was on one of these trips he returned home to be diagnosed with colon cancer.
I can count for hours the good times we had, and will keep him in my prayers and thoughts always as one of my best friends, and someone I loved like a brother. I only wish everyone had a close friend like Bill, he was truely one of a kind, and the world will never be the same without you in it my friend.
Rest in Peace my friend, it has been a long hard road, and you deserve it.

My condolences for your loss. Sounds like you guys had many amazing adventures which are yours to reflect upon and draw comfort from. While he may be gone, consider yourself lucky for having such a wonderful friend because many live a lifetime without ever knowing the true meaning of friendship.
Prayers with you and his loved ones.
