Hi,
why is it so hard to get some good information about Dendroaspis jamesoni jamesoni? Seems that just a few people keep them?
Does someone has firsthand Infos about them? Especially how is their average temper? How Big are they normally get? Whats about the holes/Markings on the under jaw of both D.jamesoni subspecies? Differs the venom much from the other greens? Does it contains some cytotoxic Components which they don`t tolerate? What if Jamesonis bite each other?
regards

Dendroaspis are generally not kept by beginner keepers.
They are kept by people who have a little history and background with venomous snakes.
The people who have this sort of background and experience will usually let you know that they have that experience in their profile and are much more likely to respond to your questions if you have filled in your profile.
I'm not saying that you have to fill in your profile to ask a question.
I am saying that filled in profiles give you a better chance of getting a quality answer instead of one from a teenager whose only experience with venomous snakes is what he read online or in a book at the library.
Just my opinion.
Good luck.

What exactly is it what people want in the profiles? I think thats not the right way to "proof" that someone is "worth" to get an answer.
Theres nothing in the profile which shows how professional a questioner is. Take a look in my profile now. I`ve kept a lot of snakes. Does the quantity makes me worth for an answer?
Isn`t it more interesting to get an idea of someone by reading what he writes an what he asks? Or isn`t it even better to start a conversation based on questions which are not fully cleared and/or for which answers are not easy to found? Something different from what you can read everywhere?

Okay. I didn't say you HAD to fill it in. I was just giving advice on getting answers.

No there isn't anything in the profile which proves how professional you are. Your profile SAYS you've kept a lot of snakes. That doesn't mean that it's true.
Isn`t it more interesting to get an idea of someone by reading what he writes an what he asks?
Perhaps. But you don't walk up to a room full of strangers and start asking very specific questions (for instance - about Dendroaspis) without introducing yourself.
Or isn`t it even better to start a conversation based on questions which are not fully cleared and/or for which answers are not easy to found?
Personally, I like to know who I am talking to first. We have had some amazing people post some incredible things on this website - not all of which turned out to be true or credible.
Something different from what you can read everywhere?
Different doesn't make it true or correct.
I always come back to this basic bottom line:
If you aren't willing to give your real name to start a conversation then there must be a reason you are hiding it. That makes me, personally, less likely to put any weight on anything that you post. Others here have said the same thing but I cannot speak for them.
You may get answers to your questions.
If they come from a profile with no name attached, how will you know that it isn't from some kid with no real experience who is reading from someone else's notes?
Good luck.

Hi,
as hard as it sounds. Im not interested in discuss anything but the questions. Too much Off Topic.
If you want to find out something about me take a look in my Board:
http://ld50.plusboard.de/
registration required to see everything.
I entered the room. Said Hi and ask some question. If you`re not interested in answering them, no problem, you don?t have to, but then keep sitting still an don`t start a discussion about whats etiquette in your subjective sence. As for my part this is the Internet. I`m a fan of data protection. Nothing more to say about that.

Good for you.
Good luck with that.
You don't want to fill in your profile here because you believe in data protection but I can find out more about you by registering at your site?
Seriously?
And you expect people are going to jump up to answer questions for you?

Maybe someone can delete this OT to make room for something which has at least a bit to do with the topic.
