I am looking for any and all info on the breeding of desert horned vipers (cerastes cerastes). Preferably keepers who have successfully bred the species before but any info will help... Please e-mail irvinn1@intergate.com ~Nick

The one and only about breeding Cerastes cerastes is a cold and dark hibernation at about 10 to 15°C for 6 to 12 weeks. If your snakes are in good condition and anything else is all right, that shall help.

How long after the hibernation should I introduce the male??? Should I ease them into and out of the hibernation or should I just let the temp fall pretty quickly??? Which months are the best to start this process??? And, what are the eating habits like during and after the hibernation??? If you like, you can e-mail me directly at irvinn1@intergate.com Nick
