Hi Joe,
Since you invited here I am. Then on to bite protocol.
First let me answer the previous response. It wasn't just the evil socialized medicine argument - it was the evil socialism argument. It doesn't work even though it has been tried many times; most recently in Greece where socialized government spent massive amounts of money they didn't have for feel good programs for everyone. They couldn't stop the train once it got rolling so they just borrowed. It's the same thing we've been doing in America for decades. Dangerously for us our bank manager is communist China.
Somebody needs to tell me when medical care became a right, because as of right now in America there is no right to food or clothing or shelter - only the freedom to work hard to obtain them. Socialized medicine is another government lollipop but it damn sure ain't free no matter how it's structured.
OK, every citizen should have access to good medical care, but if we're compassionate shouldn't we also provide it for everyone else in the world? Shouldn't we also provide good food and clothing and lodging for everyone else in the world? Sounds nice but it won't fly. We had better see to our own rotting house before attending to everyone else.
Now my 2 cents on your subject. Actually it looks like the main points have been well covered except for one...
Shouldn't there be a list of don'ts along with the do's? Seems to me this might avoid some medical mishaps and unnecessary expenses.
There, that was easy.

Joe,
Apologies for not gettng back to this thread sooner...
I want to make sure to note that I was in no way trying to imply anything negative about you or your protocols.
What I was trying to speak about (apparently not too effectively:)) was the seemingly recurrent theme in threads here that doctors have been wary of taking advice from anyone other than physicians. My question centered around the idea that it doesn't matter how good the consultant and/or literature are if the reviewer is unwilling to accept the advice. I was only wondering if the device of a physician vetting protocol literature (from any source) would increase the likelihood that, in an emergency, attending physicians who might not know the author would heed the advice and take proper steps.
My sincerest apologies if my question implied otherwise...

And to echo Charlie's apology, I did not mean to come off as seeming to say that anyone can write a bite protocol, it does take a lot of research and detail to do it properly. I do my own because I enjoy doing the research and also because I have some very specific medical requirements.
I have no doubt that yours are very effective and well researched.
Do your bite protocols take any prexisting medical conditions and current medications into account? Can they be tailored to a specific individual?

Bite Protocols can be customized for an individual as needed or requested. In fact, I have customized specific protocols for my foreign orders on multiple occasions. But, individual protocols can be customized to an individuals needs if the information is provided.
Protocols can be ordered directly by contacting me via email or I can be contacted via FaceBook directly or through the Florida Snakebite Institute FaceBook Page.

I do still produce and sell bite protocols through the Florida Snakebite Institute. If you contact me directly at traumajunkiejoe@Juno.com with what you need, I can give you an exact price quote including mailing cost. Thanks
