I purchased a couple of these a few months back(imports), and they have been eating and doing fine, however, the last month I am having a feeding problem with one of them. The one I am having a problem with is a 4-5 ft male, and the last handful of times I have fed him(live rat fuzzies), he has constricted the rat until death, then doesn't eat eat it.He is in 28 quart tub with mulch as bedding and temps are a consistent 80 degrees. Could this be a temp/humidity issue? Thanks for any help or advice.

I have had them in the past. They are a tough snake. Some made it and some did not. The ones that did not also did similar things. I feel it may not be best to keep them in a tub. I think they need more air circulation. Since the air is stagnant and humid. in a tub. This could lead to a respritory problem I think. Also these animals come in with a great deal of parasites. Some which panacure does not take care of. And I think in a small warm humid set up like a tub with mulch, it may be a breeding ground for these parasites to grow and thrive. This is just my thoughts, and I could be wrong. Remember in the wild they live with these parasites. In captivity they seem to die. In the wild they move around and air circulates. also they do not drink from the same water bowl in the wild where many parasites breed. they drink off leaves and in leaves where water collects.
