Enough rainfall for west Texas?

Was thinking about a west texas trip but was wondering if there has been enough rainfall to make it worth the effort? I know last season was terrible because of the drought. Thanks in advance.

We went last June and didn't see a single snake alive or dead. I was shocked but the drought and fires were the factor. I think this year will be much better.

I have driven thousands of miles through texas, on several occasions, and I could count the number of snakes I've found there on one hand. bummer.
