They do den together in wild. Ive seen zoos do it in large enclosures. I personally would not do it. Feeding can be an issue especially with the size diffrence. Also im sure en eastern could probally lay on top and crush your copper. Anyway its my opinion.

It is advisable not to house the two genera together. The main reason being is that in the wild they do not occupy the same niche. No two organisms, especially two animals (unless breeding a species) occupying the same trophic level, should be housed in a small terrarium together for any length of time. This is known as the law of competitive exclusion or Gause's Law. They may overwinter briefly together, sure, but you are talking about keeping them together for an extended period of time, which again, is not advisable. I tend to keep this ecological rule in my own personal collection. It will save you problems in the future.
