I have also heard that about becoming allergic, i would say you could also go on Dr. Fry's site venomdoc for more info on it. I got tired of the spitters lol it was a pain to always clean venom off everything.

That's funny. I have this male rinkhals that is fine even when I take him out to clean. The minute I place him back in his clean cage. He spits all ove the front. I think it's to just to Amoy me.

My first was a pair of hatchling Naja Nigricollis. The species just fascinates me and in that regard I was willing to learn and study the species in a way that assisted in mine and the snake's safety. Personally, most pit vipers give me a heart attack long before elapids. But again, every snake is different as well as every keeper. Know your limits and do your research. Good luck!

My first naja was a friends Kaouthia, I had that for a bit then I got myself a pair of naja naja. Pretty awesome snakes if you don't mess with them. Deadly and beautiful. I limit my interaction with them to provide food and water, clean up after them, and if they need to be shed manually. So cool. :)
