hello everybody,I was just wondering what treatment for internal parasites(worms)works best?Also I've heard of people using small injections of Ivomec has anyone used this before? THANKS,MTN. VIPER

The deal with internal parasites is you *really* need to know what you're trying to eliminate in order to select a correct treatment protocol for the animal. There are a lot of folks who "shotgun" the animal with doses of Flagyl and Panacur to kill bacterial parasites and many forms of "worms." It really isn't a good idea to give medicines to animals that aren't in need of being treated.... so that brings us back to knowing what the animal's needs are and moving forward from there...
So, a fecal examination is generally necessary, and then a person (who knows what they're looking for and at) must examine the results of the examination, and determine the right meds and doses in each individual case... A Veterinarian is best suited for this task...
