If you are in the waycross area, then head into the park entrance around dusk and walk anywhere back in the woods off the road. We have done that twice this year and had great success. You can also pull off any main road where you see a culvert pipe running under the road and start walking the creek. We found several cottons last month that way. Just don't get hit by a car when you pull off the rd.

Phillip, a quick point about the Okeefenokee.
Most people miss it but the Okeefenokee is a National Wildlife Refuge - NOT a park.
The Rangers at the refuge are federal employees who may take you into custody for "harassing the wildlife".
I didn't really think too much about that until last year when the refuge director invited me to bring my snakes out for Earth Day to display them for their celebration.
The Rangers stopped by to ask for my federal permit to possess wildlife within the boundaries of the National Wildlife Refuge (which, of course, I knew nothing about). I explained that I had been invited by the director and they went to talk to her after they assured themselves that my snakes were all longterm captives and not from their refuge. The director later apologized for the misunderstanding.
The point is that the rangers at the refuge are very aggressive about "protecting THEIR wildlife".
Before they went on their way, the rangers were very vocal about what they considered to be harassing wildlife which included possession of a snake hook within the park (which they claimed constituted reasonable cause for a vehicle search).
Just be careful and don't try to restrain any animals within the refuge boundaries, even if only for a photo.

Karl, i know that about Okefenokee i was there last year and had a snake hook and they took it away. I meant more outside the park like on swamp road and stuff. I was wondering where are good places around the NWR. Like in fargo and Folkston and also Waycross. Im not goin to look in the park as much as around the edge of the park since there are little swamps around there. I was mainly wondering where on swamp road are some great spots.
Thanks
Phillip
