I seem to find them foraging about early morning around 7-9 AM. Also I have seen them out after a light rain in late morning/late afternoon. Mix slash pine/ hardwood habitat seems to be best. My experience is that it is difficult to go out and find one and most of my encounters are while I'm out looking for another species and just consider it a bonus when I come across a beautiful coral. Also, if you take a more active approach like stump ripping you might have more success uncovering one. That all said, the majority of E.Corals I obtain are out of neighborhood backyards on relocation calls. Good luck! -MIKE.
