Hello to all!! I purchased a Atheris broadleyi at a recent hot show and got it home pulled it out of the container and there it was!! Both hemipenes are protruding, blackish-brown, and hardened!! This is something that I personally have never experienced with any of our reptiles hot or not.
Any ideas???

By "hardened", do you mean erect or do you mean dry and crusty?... If you mean erect, he's just showing his displeasure at being handled (or he likes you-likes you). If you mean dried, I don't have any experience with that problem, but a quick soak sounds in order...
