Anyone know the proper dosing schedule to rid snakes of intestinal paracytes?

I have used and forgive my spelling if incorrect pancure and flagyl. the flagyl i used were tablets and i would stuff about half a tablet it a mouses ear the snake was about 3 ft the pancure i think was about 0.75 ml injected in a prekilled mouse about two doeses worked out fine one of my edbs got a parasite and got a protazoa infection and that helped. the dosages were give to me buy a vet but he wasnt really sure but said at that small of dosage it shouldnt hurt the snake and it cleared up the infection so hope this helps

I know this may sound crazy, but how did you surmise that your reptilian friend was down with an intestinal parasite? Was this upon inpection of the feces, or did a vet tell you? Maybe it sounds dumb, but perhaps I missed class that day.

For mine i did it 2 times on my smaller timber and 3 times on my larger EDB its kind of a quessing game try it about 3 times and see how things go and thats with the flagyl the pancure you may want to continue with a few more times but doing that it cleared up my snakes and they did fine i even use it on all my wild caught snakes (pancure) just to be safe and it dont hurt the snake any. one problem i ran into that i didnt say was my EDB wouldnt eat so i had to force feed the med by crushing the flagyl tab and mixing it and the pancure with water that method also worked for me cause the EDB was in bad shape so he wouldnt eat anything if you have to use that method i did it by heading the snake on the floor and he opend his mouth and folded his fangs forward hiting the carpet so thaat alowed me to administer the meds but if you do it have someone there to help i sure was sweating bullets cause he didnt like me shoving something in his mouth lol

Thanks again for the info Shane. You should invest in a set of tubes from "Mid-west" They are great and make force feeding/medicating easier not to mention safer. I used them to FF a neonate Death Adder which was hard to keep a safe grip on since it was very small. See the link below, they are absolutely work having.
