Good morning, yes this is the guy that keeps asking all the questions about a certain Crotalus Ruber. He's young and about 2 ft long and has been hiding for about a month in his cave. Well for about 2 weeks now, his eyes have been clouded over like he is about to shed. I should also mention that his color has been very dull in general for the last 4 weeks. Does the shedding process usually take this long with this species? All of my other snakes turn dull colored and shed within a week and a half of the color change. As I have said before, I am new to the desert variety of Crotalids so it's behaviors may be different from my other snakes. Any pointers will be appreciated.

i have no expierience on this one, but i would assume with a desert species the shed process would be modified to function well without humidity and as a result i could see it taking longer than say an edb who lives in constant high humidity.
