Hi, Im going on a three day trip to Stephen C. Foster State Park, in the okeefenokee swamp and I want to know if anyone can tell me good areas to herp. Im mostly want to find the cottonmouth, eastern diamondback, pigmy, alligator snapper, amer. alligator,coral snake, etc.

I was in the Okeefenokee swamp some 20 years ago and there were snakes everywhere I looked. I was in the Billy's Lake area. I don't know if population has thined but they sure were plentiful when I was there. I was just a kid on a Boy Scouting trip and the whole experience of seeing all of that nature in one place was really neat. This probably doesn't help you much but thought that I would mention it.

I have done a little herping in the Okee. Are you looking for some company on this trip? Depending when your going I am always looking for company on a herp. trip. Let me know.
