Hey, I found a big cottonmouth yesterday in south mississippi. To be accurate, it was in stone county. We caught three that day and they all look completely different from one another. The biggest one is an olive color and it has a white tail. Im wondering if this is common. Also I found a red cottonmouth.

I couldn't tell you how common it is for these snakes to have a white tail, but I can tell you that I have collected many and only found one with a white tail. I liked that snake a lot. Kept it for many years.
