I am planning on going to the SC show in Oct. 30 and 31. My question is this, would I have a better chance of getting a nice speciman, the first day? I plan on trying to buy some Copperheads, {A.c. laticinctus}, {A.c. pictigaster}, and possibly others. I may get to go both days or just one, depending on work schedule. If I can only attend one day, would it matter which one, as far as trying to acquire 1st class individuals? If this is a dumb question, I apologize. This will be my 1st show to attend. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Anonymous:
I would guess that you and plenty of other people will be trying to do the same thing. I would get there early. The best animals will go first.
Good Luck,
Al

I went on the second day and there is tons of stuff. Copperhead are everywhere and they are pretty cheep. One thing to remember PUT THEM IN ISOLATION!!! I got some snakes there and after the show I got a mite outbreak. Not very fun. There are tons of rattlesnakes, moccasins, and coppers. You have no worry. Most of people have copperheads. Some do have so more interesting stuff. I really did like that show a lot. Its good show to start on your venomous quest.
