Hi, I know of a website that is just starting up called www.superbeastreptiles.com. The guy that runs the site wants to start up a chat room when he gets more members. Membership is free and you can upload photos. When you upload a photo they are instantly on the site. Please feel free to go there and make it a good site.

My only comment is a question for Jeremy (Bush Viper 17), why do you feel the need to post pictures of yourself freehandling a highly venomous Crotalid? Are you hoping it makes you look cool? Do you think there is a possibility that someone else will try to emulate this? Always keep in mind that although you have complete say so in what you do to screw up your body, encouraging others to do the same is unacceptable. Please consider this before you post in the future.

Jeremy:
Young man bad move! When hot keepers do reckless things like your doing in you profile picture they cast our whole hobby (passion) in a very bad light. To make matters worse your underage too. The old saying " One bad apple can spoil the bunch" I an absolute fact. It does not take but one incident to catch some politician's eye and the next thing you know he's on a crusade to ban keeping hots and other animals.
Oh we used to be able to keep Hots in Georgia till some kid was bit while showing off with a Crotalid...what was his name...hummm Any way Joe house member wrote a law outlawing the legal keeping of venomous snakes because of this.
Jeremy: Don't do foolish things!! You don't want this to be how your known by your peers. I will not only impact you but all of the rest of us who love to keep these snakes.

First and foremost-------Man are you freaking stupid or what!!!!!!!!!! Second and this is four everyone else, just viewing the two photos I get this gut feeling that the canebrake is a venomoid. His eyes are always looking at the camera not the snake. If(and it would NEVER happen) I were to free handle a hot my eyes would never leave the snake. Does anyone else feel the same way. If this snake is not a venomoid than we have a TOTAL IDIOT on this site.

I'm not so sure it's venomoid. If you look at his pics on the other site, he's got a neonate timber on a hook right next to his face. Let's see if he posts an explination.

i just dont get why someone would put themself in a position like that, all the snake needs to do is nip you on the hand or arm and you will be in an unbearable world of pain.

As far as I could tell from the photo the snake's eyes appear cloudy.Which would make him more "nervous"!If it isn't a "moid" a potential Darwin award winner is in our midst. That being said the damage to our hobby ,passion if you will, could be disasterous.

I just looked at the photo on this sight and even if it is a venomoid, I still wouldn't handle it like that, much less take my eyes off of the snake. That's just me though.

I have a picture from years ago of myself freehandling a copperhead. After I had the picture developed I realized how incredibly stupid I had been. The snake did not bite me not because of my "Snake Handling Ability" but because it chose not to bite me. I do not like leaving decisions that are that costly up to an animal with a brain the size of my thumbnail! Bush-viper17, plese excuse all this negativity but we are just trying to look after you as well as our hobby.
