"I don't care if I get bit", "I don't care if I die", almost sounds like he wants to...maybe Shane is right. He may need to talk to a mental health professional.

Yes, Im glad everyone is pissed off. Everyone here is intimidated by me because I free handled a snake. Noone else here does, because they are afraid to get that close. They just catch snakes because there friends do it and they thought that it was cool long ago. If you look at the website again you can see my friend free handling also. We both have an understanding. WHo cares how old I am. Most people that say something about my age are only a few years older. BIG DEAL. I held a snake in my hand, SO FUCKING WHAT. I like snakes, does that mean I can use foul language. Everyone that has posted about this seems to be assholes. OR fat rednecks. Alot of the people that have posted has been bitten and I havent, what does that say? If you are afraid then why the hell do you "study" these animals.

Okay...
Since we are less of an expert on mental health issues than on snake issues, let's leave this area alone. The fact that he is a teen under the influences to Testosterone and lost a sibling in a car accident are two good reasons to be a bit unstable. He also perceived an attack by a group of his peers, when it was actually was meant to point out a very un-safe activity. He reacted as expected a 17 yr old would under those condition. I can remember reacting in similar ways when I was that age, can't you?

hey, hows it going?it just seems odd that he believes he has more knowledge than others on this site!? i understand the love for the animals,i share the "passion".its not right to come on a site,do something everyone disagrees with, and then cuss them out.calling people "fat rednecks" and using "fuck" all the time really shows your age and "maturity" level.notice nobody else cussed at all?? one reason i come to this site is to get advice and learn from the experts, like marti and chris, not some 17 year old in high school. please, before you go onto a site, research it first.its obvious that shhc is for people who want to do right in our community(people with wits).if you want to freehandle snake,be careful, please.don't say things like"i have more knowledge than most of you"...there are people on this site twice your age who have been doing it forever!also,if you want to be a herpetologist, try and get into school and do it.i believe you will gain the maturity and understanding of venomous reptiles that most people possess on this site.
well, good luck with what you are doing-be careful please!-adam hoyt

hi i am the owner of superbeastreptiles.com...i have to agree with phobos in his last posti think he acted like any other young adult would when under attack by his peers.and i think every 1 was rough on him..yes what bush_viper and his friend did was unsafe i wouldnt do it, but i do things that are unsafe and im sure others in this group do too, whether its racing, bungie jumping or a career choice and if you havent you havent lived.i believe with all the negative posts that were posted any younger herpers will think it is uncool to even try freehandling...so whether you are keeping hots or riding wheelies on your motorcycle you are taking chances and you just have to be careful, and think about the consequences not just to you but your friends and family.
