If any one has some experience with breeding Vipera ammodytes montandoni please help me. I ahve 2 gravid females, I`m positive they`re gravid and from what I know they are supose to deliver in late august, early spetember. It`s 13 spetember now and none of them gave birth. Is it possible that the weather in early spring was to cold to breed and they bread later than usual and consequently give birth later ? If any one can enlighten me I`d be more than greatfull.

Cooler temps may have restricted a portion of the early breeding season. I'd give them through September. Be sure they are getting enough basking time.

I am happy to say that the other gravid female viper just gave birth to 4 young and lively snakes and 1 dead one. It`s good enough for me.
