Is there a way to keep protected sp. in Texas?

C. horridus is protected in the State of Texas. Is there a way to legally obtain one? I have heard that if I order one from another state and could prove it, that this would be legal. Mike at Glades told me that he couldn't ship me one however. Is there a permit that I could get? If so where do I start?

Contact Game and Fish to see if they offer a permit like this. I would actually go to their offices and ask in person if you are really serious.
