ive been having problems getting my viper to eat mice. he ate them for 1.5 yrs and just quit. i put a green tree frog in 2 days ago. he is chasing it, but cant seem 2 catch it. he stops chasing it in the morning, sleeps, and started back up when the lights in the other tanks were turned off. he doesnt have a light.he does, but i dont use it much. its a 29 gal tall. is the tank 2 big? i have a 6 in. pathos plant and an ivy plant in there. also have bamboo pieces at diff heights.should i rub frog all over a mouse. the last 6 times i tried mice, he climbed high and avoided them.

Try offering him one that is dead. Preferably frozen for a few days & thawed. Bear in mind that some treefrogs have toxic skin secretions.
