I want to know what the most venoumes snake in the world is becouse I get all kinds of answers, but the answer I get the most is the Inland Tiapan. Is this true and if not what is.

Also, as far as the issue of the sea snake, note that the inland taipan's venom yield will be AT LEAST 10 times as high, probably more.

Most venomous is a hard question to answer. The most toxic may not be the most deadly. You have to look at toxicity as well as venom yield. I think most agree on the inland being the most toxic land snake. In terms of yield, I think the EDB is the biggest producer. As a combination, I think the king cobra has the most potential to be deadly when you look at toxicity and yield.

EDB has the highest yiels in the USA but over all the big yields will be Gaboon, King cobra and Austrailian King Brown. When you look at the LD of the king Cobra its pretty poor compared to other elapids but the volume is what makes it dangerous. When looking at LD charts always use the subcutaneous (sc)route as 90% of bites on humans if not more invovles sc. Also LD is only an estimate on its potential in humans.

Interesting, are you certain of those facts? There have been EDB that produced 700mg at a single extraction, I have never heard of any of those others producing that much? The most I have personally pulled from a snake was about 450mg from a female EDB that was about 4 feet. I have never milked a king, but I have watched Ray do it and I have not seen him pull near that much from one. I have never milked a Gaboon, but I did milk a 4 foot puff that weight about 8 pounds. hit him three times and got maybe about 250 to 300mg.
