If you can't get the ziplock to stay water tight (some are better than others) just use a closepeg to clip the bag to the bowl of warm water with the edge obviously above the water line.
Here's a survey, what are people's thoughts about refreezing uneaten food items, even if they've only been defrosted for a short period of time? I personally turf everything thats uneaten. The risk of food poisoning isn't worth it.
Cheers

I don't like to refreeze, mostly just because they turn into a gooey mess that will sometimes rupture when a snake hits it. In general, I just don't try to feed everything the same day, so if there are a few left over, I just give them to some of the ones I was not planning to feed. At the refuge, if I have leftover large rats (which I sometimes don't have beckup eaters for) they go to the gators...who rarely turn up their noses at anything.

I like the ziplock and warm water method. There have been times when I was out of zip locks, and I just dried them off with a paper towel with no problems.Marty
