I have posted an old photo of Grace Olive Wiley in the Historical Pictures section of the Photo Album. A lot of you younger folks probably have never heard of her. She was a really amazing person. If you type "Grace Wiley" in the Experts Search you will find an excellent post by Karl Betz from a few years ago that gives a great overview of her life.

When did she die..and which snake was it that caused her death? I remember her passing, but cannot remember what year it was. Thanks!

I think she died from some kind of cobra whick i wthink was a Monocole. I remeber she was one of the very first people really big into free handling. I have seen kings be that in Indonesia and India. I have seen the childeren with there fathers holding it was like a harmless snake. Also the king was considered the faimly pet.

Thanks. In light of the date, I do not remember her passing..just having read about it later. I'm old, but not old enough to remember things from '48. I thought it was a khaouthia that killed her. At least part of my memory still works.
