I finally got my copy of the Snakebite in the 21st century symposium. I have not gotten through all 6 DVD's but the first four were great and highly recommended. If you can't spring for the entire cost maybe you could pair up with someone or get you local herp society to buy them. Great talks and our own Brian Greg Fry has a couple that touch on his latest work on the evolution of venoms starting way back with lizards. Some talks get a little medical in the clinical presentations but most can easily be found in a medical dictionary.

That will make parcelmouth a very happy man, i'm glad to see they are worth the money. I do tend to learn more by watching and listening, as my memmory is not the best!
When you say technical, what exactly do you mean, That you need a Bsc to understand some info? or that the information is detailed and in depth.?
cheers.

There are actually 7 DVD's in the set and I have now made it through 5!! There are many reference to both technical and medical terminology but I think most people will at least get the big picture from the presentation. For example Fry talks about making c-DNA libraries for taxonomic work. The medical doctors will use their terms for low blood pressure (hypotension) and blood clotting problems (coagulopathies). Even after 5 DVD's I still highly recommend viewing them if possible.
