Anyone know of a good place to find this species in the Va or N carolina area. They should be fairly common but I have yet to see one..

Hi, where in the state are you looking? I live in Concord, and work in Charlotte. I seen one last weekend while playing disc golf. I tried to catch it, but it made it to waters edge.

I know it's not NC, but down here in South Cakalackie (as I have heard my home state referred to numerous times) all the Nerodia are out in force. We have several species here, and I caught at least one of each kind today.

Hi, I live about 5 minutes from that Shoneys. I could have sent somewhere better if you were having breakfast. Whenever you come through looking for snakes, or anywhere near, look me up. I would love to join you. I don't have many friends that go into the field anymore. I have fished all around the neighboring counties, and know the land well. I look forward to it. I work for Invisible Fence, and when I still worked in the field, I covered about a 250 mile range and have seen lots of diff species. There are still a few snakes I want to see. I have only seen 1 yellow rat here, but over 50 black ones. I have caught 2 E.D.B.s within 20 miles of that Shoneys. Let me know when you are coming back.
