Bill ? Yes, Missouri does have state reptile laws, protected reptiles, and a permit system.
Unfortunatly, their web site ``SUX,`` and is fairly worthless for tryin to find out current regulations and permits needed.
Start at:
http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3c10-9.pdf
You will find information about protected animals requiring a permit. Search the site for contact information, and call, or eMail, the non-game wildlife department for a copy of the regulations.
Wish I could help more, but this is one that You can figgure out a lot easier if you do some work, and make some calls locally. I do not have the time or patience to wade through poorly constructed state web sites looking for obscure files about regulations.
Also, you could contact the S. W. Missouri Herpetological Society. I am sure some of their members are up to date on the state regulations. They have a fairly good web site.
Hope this helps. JohnZ

Bill: Good luck on trying to find the information you need. I know some site members here live in your state, and hopefully, they will see this post and jump in with some good leads. You just happen to live in one of those difficult states...............
Best Regards JohnZ
