A clue! I suspect it is not from anyone at "Glades Herp". They have their own domain name and their contact email is something@gherp.com. There would likely be no reason for anyone there to get a gmail account.
After a quick search, I find that there is someone from "Glades Herp" using the username "gladesherp" on a few message boards, but his email is somethingelse@gherp.com.
Anyone can create a gmail account with any name that isn't taken...if they even had to do that (I don't remember if kingsnake verified my email when I signed up.)
(Some names have been changed in a futile attempt to smite the spam-bots.)

Just got off the phone with Glades. It was't them.
By the way, writing false and slanderous information that will damage the reputation of a company will get you sued.

I hope that's coming from you and not them, Chris. Threatening someone who reported, in good faith, an email they got would surely not be good for their reputation. This thread, on the other hand has left no doubt after the first few messages.
Now, they certainly have every right to be pissed at the person who SENT the email...

Yea exactly. What am I suppossed to think when I get an email like that?? So threatening a law suit against me is pretty rediculous!

I, too, spoke to Robbie and he vehemently said that it was not him or anyone from Glades...end of story. He was quite surprised when many folks were calling him about the situation. He called me and I assured him that this will not negatively impact their company and it will be long forgotten very quickly. There's lots of losers out there trying to make another company look bad to make them look good. Most companies/herp businesses never make it beyond the first year...few if any make it 10 years but Glades has done that through hard work, selling quality animals and ensuring good customer service.
Time for this thread to end.

Be calm.
I don't believe anyone threatened you with a lawsuit.
However, whoever emailed you, misrepresenting themselves as Glades Herp and placing that business in a bad light?
Well that person could be setting themselves up.

Ok. Good enough for me. I do have one idea who could have emailed me. But I cant say on here. I know the scum bag well, and he's just yellow enough to start something like this. I apoligize to the guys at Glades. Thanks for everyone's reply.

I started serioulsy with reptiles 20 years ago, before I got into lions and tigers, and I bought many animals from Glades back then,(lizards, frogs, chelonians) before Internet became big, when husbandry info or even captive bred animals were hard to get. No bad experience back then, didn't buy anything from them in years, but if they are still in business, it means they r are still nice.

Never had a problem doing business with them over the last ten or so years. Sometimes a few ssp are PRICEY, but find them else where. Not that easy in certain instances. Over all that seems a bit odd. Maybe someone hit the shine a lil bit that day and didnt like your add. It happens! Lol If it bothers you so call him. Handle it like men could be an honest mistake or brutal truth. Tim
