This maybe long. I do not post here much but many here know me.
First let me say. Guys attacking Muffdaddy..... Why? Just let it go guys. It is not worth it. Focus on the positive. I know where you are coming from even though I do not agree with the way you are going about it. Name calling is not needed at all. I know I have seen him do it many times. He has made vids doing it. But that does not mean we must.
About the Arlington ban. I honestly think it maybe to late. People are reacting instead of preventing. Reaction rarely works in these cases. Al made a GREAT video about what to do. People need one person to talk. This person must be soft spoken and know the facts. Not a person to fly off the handle when questioned. Becuase that person will be questioned.
Muffdaddy, I am going to talk(type) to you with respect if you reply to me I expect the same.
People are upset becuase some of your videos give off very dangerous and bad info. You say you are an expert on nonvenomous. I have been doing this for 15+ years I am not an expert. I know many here that have been doing this 20 and 25+ years they are not experts. We all learn everyday. you have been doing it 3 years. Atleast that is what you said in a video.
Step back man. Take down some of them videos that pass on bad info. Collect good info from these fine folks or from many of the great forums out there. Then remake your videos with correct info. If you do not know about venomous as you say you do not. Then do not make videos on it. There is no reason you have too. I will say you have a younger following. There is nothing wrong with that. And if you could collect correct info you could make a positive impact on their young hobby.
I have seen you get upset at people that correct you. I have seen you get upset when people said that it was a skink in a video of yours when you thought it was a salamander.
Man you do not need to know it all. And to tell you the truth you do not. You want people to work together on things. THAT IS AWESOME! So maybe you need to get off the high horse too and see that some of your info is wrong and that people that have been doing it longer then you have been alive were trying to help you out. TAKE THAT HELP! There is no shame in taking help.
I love that you want to ban together and get things rockin. But when you want others to open their arms you must also do the same.
Al is a friend of mine. Al has told me when I was wrong. And guess what. I listened. I respect him greatly. When he talks I listen. That goes for many on this site. I know many of the admins/mods here. They are all great people. The knowledge on this site for venomous is second to none.
But to everyone. Drop the name calling. We do not need it. I will say I get frustrated with some of his videos. Best we can do is email or contact him in a professional manner.
Nick your Heart is in the right place. But you need to open up a bit about receiving knowledge from people that trully know more. I can talk to you personally if you wish. I can talk repsectful too. I hope you can do the same.
And I wish everyone luck in Arlington. If I could be there I would but living in Ohio........ I can not make the drive.
But guys no one needs the last word. Lets step above this garbage....

Well, I could have said the same thing about Arkansas when you first arrived into the hobby. I guess the ones of us in Va who are responsible keepers (though im no longer a keeper) should be subject to a ban just because there are idiots who keep venomous in the state?
Seriously, there are idiots everywhere. It has gotten so bad over the past few years that I firmly believe the hobby is doomed. The internet has made a portal for any dumb ass who wants a venomous snake to get one and with the dealers unwillingness to screen their client's (not all but alot) the country is full of disasters waiting to happen.
I believe Arlington is beyond help. For those of you not fimilar with the county it borders Washington DC and a good chunk of the county (Roslyn area) used to be part of DC. Look at a map of DC and you will notice that there is a chunk missing from the otherwise almost perfect diamond shape. That chunk is Arlington, or should I say part of it. Now what does this have to with the ban? A good majority of the housing in that area is condos and apartment high rises. There is also a huge population. Though there are houses and more traditional neighborhoods the area in alot of ways it is an extension of DC. Because of the logistics of the area and the high population of residents who will not like the idea of venomous snakes being next door I am almost 100 % sure the ban will pass. there just arent enough folks to protest for the right compared to those who will oppose it.
I really hope the hammer doesnt fall state wide. Luckily I think the law makers in Richmond (Capitol) have more important issues to address (cough transportation cough). Hopefully the rest of the state will not be effected by a disgruntle D bag who caused the problem in Arlington or by Muffdaddy and his Youtube antics. Unfortunately for this hobby any publicity seems to be bad publicity and the fact that all the publicity has been bad publicity just makes everything a huge mess.

ohhhh your just the worst type of person...im fighting for he hobby and you wantto defeat it...obviosly i know more and care more about it then you, im fighting, your crying and whining....just fade into nothingness..you are nothing....and no matter what anyone says...I WILL FIGHT TO THE END...thats why im a winner!

Nick the thing is people are not jealous of you. These keepers are trying to say you are giving very dangerous and false info on your videos. They are full of false info that will hurt the hobby you say you are fighting for. Why can you not see that?
Your comments show me you can not step up. You have to get into name slinging. I do not care who started it. You can just ignore it.
I tell you this. You will be questioned there. Are you just going to start calling people names there too?
You need to step back. Look at the false info you put out there and take that stuff down. Research and learn form people that trully know more then you and then go back and do vids on the right info.
About this meeting. People in the TRUE reptile community do not respect the way you are doing things. You Tube is not the reptile community. It just is not. The last reptile expo I vended you were brought up by a parent. I had to correct info you gave their child. You gave them false info and almost cost a family to mess up with an animal and then have a bad taste in their mouths about this hobby.
You say you are fighting for the hobby. But then you look at your you tube page it is full of things that damage it. Does not make sense huh?
Like I said your heart is in the right place wanting to help. You just do not have the knowledge. I know you hate hearing that and you want your people that subscribe to your page to think you know it all. But you do not have too know it all.
You are making some of the most respected people in this hobby not like you. Step up and just act right all the time.
It is not if you start something it is how you react to the situation at hand and you have shown you can not handle certian things. You can not handle being questioned. You can not handle people putting you down you have to get the last word in. You think you are ontop becuase you have subscribers on You Tube. The reptile community goes a lot deeper then you tube. A LOT!
I am not sure you will ever get it. You are more worried about your "Rep" on you tube. You are more worried about people thinking you know it all on you tube. you are more worried about subscribers on you tube then you are this hobby. That is what I take from all this.
