I wish we had been informed of the retic and chondropython being loose.
If I had known that, I would have spent some time helping look for them.
Is there any chance that they were stolen, and did not get out of their caging ?
Best Regards John Z

Wow, after reading the last line of my previous post, I sound like a madman climbing around on the walls. Whoops, sorry, I have not caught up on sleep yet from the Show.
I just had to laugh at myself.

John, Danny just told me that they had escaped. I do not know if they were stolen. Hopefully they are not in the building still. Sometimes people keep quiet when they find things at shows and keep it for themselves.

First let me Thank everyone for making this THE GREATEST SHOW YET! We had a record attendeesover 2200! I think sales were down some because people were being more selective than before. But over all most vendors did ok.
Now for the loose animals: The sugarglider was found. The smaller Retic was found. The Chondro was not. Because of the small size , it made it hard to locate. We did look for two days for it. We know it was not stolen because When the 13/14' Retic got out, it came across the table that housed the smaller Retic and the Chondro and pulled the loose fitting lids off of them.
There will be some changes in the rules to hopefully prevent animals from escaping and the health of animals. It will also cover aggressive dogs and some other changes for the better.
Again Thanks To EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Cathy, it is good to hear that some changes will be made in caging of animals and folks bringing aggressive dogs to the shows.
I did not have a chance to see much of the caging being used in the non-venomous section, but if snakes got out, then there is a problem that needs to be corrected.
I wonder if the Chondro Python got eaten by the Reticulated Python ? LOL That would prove to be a really expensive meal.
Thanks again for all the work that the Repticon Team does to bring such excellent reptile shows.
Best Regards John Z

I have to say I had a great time. I got to meet a few new faces John Z and Paul M both an honor. Visited with old friends. Sold some animals and of coarse I bought a new snake. Cathy and Danny as always the show keeps growing and so does attendance, I was impressed with this show to say the least.Maybe the economy will make a comeback for the november show we can at least hope.anyway great show great times great people.

Joe,
Nice to meet you and hang out a little bit. Good to get together with old friends also and enjoy a good show. I thought the traffic was great and had a good variety of interesting people. I met alot and had some good conversations. I met some new folks interested in Easterns and now they have some of mine. Nice to see them go to a good home.
I presented Cathy and Danny with a framed certificate thanking them for the previous November show and how it was also sucessful. We as a group need to show more appreciation for the folks who instrument the sucess of the shows we all enjoy going to. It was said by someone who I will not name, that thank you is not said enough to show staff. I suggest a banquet in their honor at the November show. There seems to be a theme with the banquets honoring folks who have put alot of time and dedication into helping others or achieving goals in the reptile community.
I can think of none other at this time than the Elrod's for continuing to provide us with a gathering / trade / sell type atmosphere over the years.
That's my .07 cents due to high gas prices :O :)

Well,
John, I have not put a banquet together before. Any suggestions? Should we get together at a restaurant and have it there, or at the hall next to the show? How have the other banquets been held in the past?
Joe, thanks for the offer...any ideas that you may have would be appreciated.
