I am working with a group of "Wart Sea Snakes" aka "Little File Snake", Acrochordus granulatus (whose taxonomy just recently changed). This particular group originated from a tiny island near the Philippines offshore in a marine reef ecosystem. This population, to my knowledge, have not successfully bred in captivity and I am hoping to have some luck next year. I'm really fascinated by aquatic reptiles and even moreso with marine species...they are absolutely fascinating to watch; particularly during feeding time (fish).
Who else is working with something unusual? I attached a pic of one of these beauties.

Rob,
Very cool looking critters.
Hope you have success in breeding them.
I have not kept sea snakes in many years, but remember them being fun animal to work with.
As far as your photo, use this:

The IMG code thingy will keep folks from finding it.

As far as new projects, I am working with my heterozygous for albino and pure albino cottonmouths again.
They were brumated last winter, and hopefully, this re-set their biological clocks.
The male has been breeding with the females, and hopefully, the females will produce young at the right time of year this time. (Last year the young were born in January, and were pre-mature, and did not survive).
The females spend a lot of time basking on the heat pad in the cage, which makes me think they are incubating their young.
Time will tell.
Best Regards John Z
