When a snake starts showing signs of shedding (eyes getting cloudy and skin coloration becoming dull) it still might be 7 to 10 days before the snake will shed.
The eyes will go fully opaque, then clear again, and then the snake will shed.
You might want to spray the snake with a misting bottle with pure, room temperature water a couple of times a day until it sheds.
Hope this helps.

The frequency of shedding depends on how fast the snake is growing (since growth is, after all, the impetus for shedding) and consequently, how much the snake is eating. A young, faster-growing snake will shed more often than an adult, so that is a factor also. Ball pythons are not necessarily frequent shedders... if you feed the snake about once a week or 10 days, it could easily go two months or more between shed cycles. Just give it time, and watch for the above-mentioned signs: blueish color and opaque, blue eyes. At the onset of these signs, it helps to keep the snake in a plastic container (if it isn't already) and mist it to keep the humidity high (60-80%). Dysecdysis (the inability to shed properly) is caused primarily by low humidity, but can also be caused by other factors, such as temperature or anorexia, so keep the snake regularly fed and in good (but not obese) condition. Don't worry - a month is typically not a long enough period for a shed to occur (especially if it recently shed just before you acquired it).
