And its strange that you posed the question on March 2 and just like magic, today, you say your snake has OMPV? How? It is nearly impossible to have tests like that come back with a diagnosis w/in a day and that's assuming you even did one. Just curious. What vet do you use?

Without a vet check of blood or organs there is no way to know what caused the death of the snake. Al is right on that it is toxic. Why were you giving it?

yes, the rhino died, i was giving colloidal because, you all know, it kills viruses. i was giving it in very small amounts, the reason i said the snake had ompv, is the snake was thrashing around then a discharge, then died not to long after, the common signs for the viruse, nothing else would do that, so is there anyway to kill the bug, i have been sterilizing hooks, but is there a spray i can buy, anyway thanks, arin

Bitis are not common for these type of things. Many specimens die because keepers don't know how to keep them properly(either too dry, hot, or not humid enough). While imported adult are loaded with parsites, they will often turn right around once you give them the proper care and treatment. I must agree also that I've never heard of that chemical you used. There's a very STRONG chance that could of led to your snake's demise. Beside OMPV, there is also a ton of "sister type viruses" that mirror OMPV in some ways, but aren't as contagious. You also have Cryptosporidium, which is another disease with reptiles that starts with regurgitation.

colloidal silver is 'not' a chemical, you can read about it on the internet its good stuff, also the rhino never regurgitated, and all this started very quickly, arin
