i dont see what the problem is with the video puffadder7 im sure thats not the first gaboon to be force feed and im sure it wont be the last. some times you have to. i dont know the reason why he did it tho.

Tough call. Personally, I'd let it starve before I held a gaboon by the head, but I could see someone else making a different decision.
I certainly would try tubing and then tube-feeding the snake first, but we don't know that he hasn't already tried that (probably not).

I think the guy was to rough. I have never had to shove so hard to get the rat started. Also, the knuckle on my left hand was burning as I was waiting for the guy to get scratched by a fang. But that's my opinion. Forcing a snake to eat is a disturbing thing to see.

The handling did seem much rougher than it needed to be for force feeding.
The rodent was way too large to try to force down a sick snake. Several smaller rodents would have been better.
And, as Larry stated, other things like tubing could have been used to help restrain the movement of the snake.
