I've not only seen one but have also caught a few!
When searching for the illusive Road Kill snake you need to drive slowly or you might miss it. Not only is this snake usually flat but can also be mistaken for road trash, stick, spilt tar from road work, flat straps and so on. In fact these snakes are so good a laying motionless that they often missed laying on the side of the road.
