I was thinking about trying something new. Venomizing other herps!!! I take the glands from venomoid snakes and some shed fangs and add them to species tradionally not venomous!
Box turtles, Tokay geckos, corn snakes, snapping turtles....the possibilities are endless? Who's with me?

Actually Box Turtles have achieved a similar status already! Due to the mushrooms they feed on they have been documented as being occasionally POISONOUS!
Are you bored? Had to stir the pot? LOL

Lot's of coffee this morning Tim. Plus...bordering on a waaaaaaay cool herp breakthrough that'll be awesome!
Plus...word through the herd is both versions of the Python Bills are officially dead. I'm sure they will be back but it does not look likely for a while >;)

That would allow me to keep a whole bunch of venomous snakes here in GA Doug! As they would be listed as non-venomous. Cool!

I was thinking coachwhip or black racer! But a Large python would be cool. A 20+ foot retic or anaconda, or a rock python with the venom apparatus from a large king cobra! How cool would that be?

Tim, don't give anyone ideas about the box turtles... toad licking is bad enough.
Marty, I thought large constrictors were venomous already... Haven't you seen the movie Anaconda? The computer-generated fangs are oozing every time the snake opens its mouth.
And Doug, please put me down for a tuatara with some Oxyuranus glands... The best of the South Pacific together at last!

I thought we closed the discussions on devenomizng snakes (as you would have to devenomize them to put the glands in another animal). I can't believe how ignorant you people are. You closed two serious debates on devenomizing snakes within 24 hours because you were all loosing horribly and had no sound basis for your reasoning and now you open up your own little private forum that's been open for two days where you all just mock venomoids in ignorance and seclusion. You people are operating on a level that is just about mentally handicapped. This is the most ignorant thing I have ever seen in my whole life and no one who is ignorant should own a venomous snake.
