Happy birthday to William Haast founder and director of the Miami Serpentarium, still alive and well living in Punta Gorda, Florida at 100 years old today!

We can all only wish that we'll be able to do what he does at his age - man that guy is impressive and Mr. Haast is a modern day legend in our field and one of the reasons why I'm doing what I do today..Happy Birthday Mr. Haast.

Same here. I saw him in 69' and 74?
My aunt lived in Hialeah and was able to send me the local newspaper clippings about Bill. I still have a few of them in a scrap book I made about Bill for extra credit in Middle School!
Bill Haast is an inspiration to a lot of us.
