Driver plus porter and van rented for only $20 USD a day. The driving in Sri Lanka is so different and dangerous from driving in America, it is not recommended that you attempt it yourself. Hire a driver, tip him well, and live to see another day. ;-) By the way, when we stepped off the van into the grass in this photo, we were immediately attacked by leeches.
