Jeremy,
Glad to hear you are open to ideas. My intention was never to bash you or Philip.
You are right- the animal you were handling did look quite healthy- yet another reason to be extra careful with it. Healthy animals act a lot different than sickly ones!

Wow look at what all I have missed, first of all the buisness that is letting minor's handle elapid's needs to be shut down regardless of whether the snake was a venomoid or not, sick or healthy. I so much dont look down at the kids as much as the shop owner because if I were at that age I would have handled the snake, and that is the main reason that minor's shouldnt handle hot's. They are unable to make sound and mature decisions.
