Now I have been following this forum for quite a while, and wondered about some of the things that you people here on the forum has talked about, and one subject that i've seen a few times is the debate of various TV-personalities such as Corwin, Irwin & Austin, and about how good or bad they are for the venomous society, and i have a question, if you look at the link below to Corwins video page at animal planet, there is at clip called "Jeff snags a snake", and i was wondering, does anyone knows if this snake has been cooled down or something like that to make it less agressi?

I wouldn't know the answer to your question. All I can tell you is that Jeff is a cool guy. Very funny in person - has a much quicker, less corny wit than on his show, which is aimed at families. Whatever the answer to your question is, just keep in mind that he works for Hollywood folks and they probably shot that scene a half dozen times.
The key word here is "show". It's a TV "show", not an as-it-happens documentary. Give the snake handlers on TV a break on that stuff. They don't call the shots and they don't pay the bills. Therefore, they are at the mercy of the producers if they want to stay on TV.

Corwin is my favorite of the tv guys. I often wonder, how many biology grad students does he have as snake spotters. Can anyone be THAT good?

i always heard that o'shay and corwin were more spontaneous than the other guys, who plan ALL "wild" encounters.......i've also always heard that corwin and o'shay were the best of the bunch in terms of spotting, overall intelligence and personality

I know O'Shea well. He didn't plant any snakes or cool any snakes down in any of his shows.
I also worked with Corwin. All I can tell you is that Jeff didn't cool down any snakes. And it was hot as heck when we filmed. But if his film crew filmed for 15 days and couldn't find a snake on their own, they would acquire a captive and use that. But come on, how many people here can find a snake on request? The majority of Jeff's captures are real. His Black mamba and King cobra captures were purely legit for instance.
I like Jeff and Mark both. They are both a lot of fun to hang out with.
