Doug, you are right about the petty bickering thing. Folks here just love to turn the format into an Opra, Giraldo, Montell, or Jerry Springer show. Perhaps because some of them watch junk like that on a daily basis, LOL ! It sure does bring the quality of the site down. Hopefully, folks like Doug and Rob will put up with it for a while longer, and we can get the site back to what it once was. Now that Karl is back around, that should help, as some of the junk can be edited out before it becomes a soap opra. If the site managers closed threads when they became personal attacks or soap opras, it would probably help. All you would have to do is say that the topic is no longer concerning Venomous Reptiles, or Herpetology, or Non-Venomous Reptiles, or whatever, and close down a thread that is going in the wrong direction. And lock it. Close it. To save this hobby we need the support of everyone here. And that support has to be directed in the right direction. Support of things like NCARK is a big step in the right direction. Hopefully, we will see the same thing in other states. If we keep arguing among ourselfs on silly topics, we will loose the fight for private reptile keeping. Best Regards JohnZ

well,i was wrong... it just seems that rob is always flaming people. as for the bickering- cro- you are just as guilty. its been going for awhile on this site, and its the only site/forum that i see it on(besides kingsnake, but thats understandable:) as for saying things like montel, and all that crap, its a waste. i can't stand those shows! nothing but trash. i will say this- the level of hypocricy on this site is amazing... aquaherp- i had stated that it was annoying that rob always seemed tobboast about his 20 years experience. he stated in a later post that he wasn't boasting, just stating his experience. this was settled... you say the bickering is immature, but then you add fuel to the fire.... hmmm.. anyways- i appologize to rob- i'd write an email and appologize, but i'm too lazy to look up his email right now! take care everyone, and happy holidays

Adam, You need to stop the finger pointing! This thread was not started to have a pissing contest. It was started to get everyones attention. I guess I should not have said what I said about experts and opinionated people. Go back and read the entire post I originally posted. The purpose was to have people get more involved with NCARK no matter what their experience is. John Z., Rob, Doug, Your experiences are valuable to us all. I always enjoy reading posts from John and Rob. Always very informative....eh, I'm done. I am done with this site. My efforts were obviously pointless. I hope everyone can go back and really read my original post and get what my message was. Unless you have had venomous for 20+ years or are in the "clique", anything anyone has to say is sadly overlooked. My apologies to Andrew Wyatt for starting a thread in the name of NCARK. Sal, I do not think your efforts were pointless. You did gain attention for the NCARK and they probably had some folks visit their site and sign up to support their efforts because of your post. Best Regards JohnZ

Sal- No apologies nessesary... I know your heart. John is right, we did have new memberships as a result of your post. My personal opinion on the negative direction many of these threads have taken of late is this: we may have to go back to kindergarten... if you don't have anything good and positive to contribute, don't say anything at all. A civil debate does not have to turn into a personal affront. If you feel you need to address someone personally... do it privately, not here. We need to bring a little civility back to this forum. It is ours and therefore each and every one of us bares the burden of responsibility to keep things positive. Andrew

Bill- thanks for the support and welcome to NCARK. Watch closely what unfolds during the next 2 months. We hope to engineer a high profile victory here against API and HSUS.
