Also, from a scientific perspective, if someone is insane or mentally unstable, then they should seek medical advice and or be institutionalized. This is a very scientific approach to mental health.

I asked questions about it as the conversation is about self immunization I don't even have any snakes I have dairy goats chickens some dogs and a bunch of fruit trees and thinking about getting a copperhead because they are beautiful to look at. at no point did I say I was personally interested in sticking poison into myself
I just said it was a interesting topic and asked some questions so please try not to derail this with your rants because it is obvious your reading comprehension is lacking unless you post any scientific data either supporting your claim or refuting those who claim its a good idea i will not respond to you

Bryan, I don't SI and never have, but from what I've read on the subject, the folks that do, use a dilution of the venoms they work with. Someone else that knows more about it may chime in, but this thread is over 10 years old, so who knows? Take care, Marty

You’re a member of the flat Earth society. Same attitude and self righteous indignation that inspires others far bolder than you. You are a weak human being, I feel sorry for you.
But hey, somebody has to buy tickets to the show.

thanks Marty
one thing I am not getting is why there is so much hostility by folks here its not very conducive to learning at all like I said I'm not interested in doing it but that doesn't mean I don't have a academic interest in it.

Studies have been done. The military did immunizations on 40 people with cobra venom and found the method to be effective. Look it up.

you sir are awesome!
I take it when they reference using venom with no local toxicity they are referencing venoms that do not have any cytotoxic or hemolytic actions? such as the venom present with the viperidae

You are correct in your assumption sir. The venom of naja naja is mostly neurotoxic and cardiotoxic with little local effects.
