It is a ceramic egg... Probably made to kill snakes... But like I thought, all the messing with the snake, and trying to force the egg up made it regurgitate overnight... The snake looks fine. It's fairly active, and very responsive. At least the snake is fine... Now I'm going to go down there to make sure he doesn't kill any, and maybe to find another! Be safe, Jon

And with the hens laying on the fake eggs as well, I'm sure the eggs smell real!

I found a splendida eating some quail eggs once.STRANGE
