Suicide Attempt by the Injection of Rattlesnake Venom:
I went searching for info about Self Immunization (A post on another forum where some people are doing this) I did a Google search and came across an article where several people have done this.
I'm sure if I look further I will find more articles but I have to say, WTF???!!!
I watched 1000 ways to dies last night where people were snorting fire ants up their nose. I wonder if Death by self injection of RS venom made it on that show yet?
What a horrible way to kill yourself! I see how much pain and suffering the rats and mice go through almost every day, I couldn't imagine doing it this on purpose!

I understand Self Immunization, I just couldn't imagine trying to kill yourself with RS venom is my point!

SI is becomeing a valid science and I have done it .But am at a stand still for now.It is not suicide in any way I do not understand this question and sugest you place this question on the proper forum.

A 14-year-old male milked the venom from a rattlesnake and injected it with a syringe into his right antecubital vein in a suicide attempt. He immediately developed severe pain and vomiting, then hypotension, swollen lips and tongue, and coma. The injection site did not have the considerable tissue damage seen with severe rattlesnake envenomation. Critical hematological abnormalities, gastrointestinal bleeding, and hematuria developed over 24 hours. He received crotalidae polyvalent immune fab (ovine) anti-venom and was discharged after 5 days without sequela. This patient's clinical findings were similar to those seen in patients bitten by rattlesnakes with rare intravenous envenomation.

I wasn't bashing Self Immunization Archie, I was curious about it and went googling. When I googled I found this article. I can't imagine trying to kill yourself by injecting venom into yourself in this way.
I was just stating how I came across the article by researching Self Immunization.

Perhaps his goal was to simply WISH HE WAS DEAD rather than actually BE dead.

This story could bad on us quick I hope he does well and mostly hope no one sold him the snake.
