this guy sounds kind of suspicious anyway, i think the dude is either under cover or doing this because he wants to get a laugh out of it... i mean if this dude had a brain he would not be posting venomous snakes and crack together in the same sentence, HAHA...

On anouther note I am tempted to call an say "yes my son is turning 13 in a week an he is just sooo in love with cobras an puff adders an he really loves Gaboons. I mean his room is just wall to wall with posters an toys of them... An I saw your add on craigslist an I thought I would give you a call an see if you had anything he would like...."
JUST to see what he would say......

I've seen the Gabby ads, and the guy now boasts openly about how he will continue to post ads no matter how much he is flagged. I honestly DO believe he's an AR guy, and doesn't even own the snake he keeps posting pics of, but he's trying to make a point about how easy it is to buy/sell hots so he can get them banned in SC. It's a similar tactic to releasing lion cubs and large pythons wherever the issue of a ban has come up or where the ARs think one needs to be in place.

I agree with Pittbulllady. If they can prove how easy it is to get a "Container of death", then they will be outlawed. I'm for the idea of calling Just To See what the guy says.

Well I tried calling a cupple times an couldn't get an answer but plan on trying again an even gona get a friend whos local to the guy to give it a try an see if she can get threw since maybe hes ignoring an out of state number.

The fact that this jerk can so easily sell hots w/out any experience, permits, etc shows some of the major problems that OUR community has - it's just too damn easy for people to purchase hots w/out any experience. You see it at the shows - I've personally witnessed a well known "reputable" person sell a kid (no more than 15 years of age) a monocled cobra...plunked the cash on the table and the kid gets to walk around with a deadly snake in a frickin' deli cup. Although we need to continue to fight these AR folks, we also need to completely re-tool and re-look at how we police ourselves, how we project ourselves to the public, and looking outside the proverbial box in finding a solution to protect our hobby. Unfortunately, we just have too many bad apples and way too much apathy in our hobby; I'm not very hopeful at the moment.

I'm with Rob, part of the responsibility lands on the shoulders of all of us in the venomous hobby. I don't agree with all the AR guys that our hobby should be banned, but they can make some valid points if idiots like this go around selling hots to anyone.
If we were to organize and ask for regulations on the hobby that please the politicians and AR people but still allow us to keep our hots, things could be different.
I know I'll probably get chewed out by some people on this forum for suggesting the hobby get further regulated by the government, but it looks like it's either that or we lose our hots completelty.
