Not true. Yes, these may be red states (which is probably why they are last to go) but look at who is introducing this law. This forum is about West Virgina. If you go here: http://www.legis.state.wv.us/bill_status/bills_text.cfm?billdoc=HB4393%20SUB%20ENG.htm&yr=2014&sesstype=RS&i=4393 you can see who authored this legislation. They are delegates Swartzmiller, Wells, Manypenny, Paxton, Fragale, Craig and Storch.
All Democrats, with only one republican (Erikka Storch) signing on. If this bill fails it will be because of the republicans largely coming out against it. Not the democrats. Also, have you forgotten which party helped stop the federal python ban. I will give you a hint, it wasnt the democrats. Just check out this article from politico entitled "G.O.P, Python ban squeezes economy:
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0911/63530.html.
It states: But in a report released Wednesday, Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee denounced the proposed rule as part of the Obama administration’s “regulatory tsunami.” They said the snake ban could “devastate a small but thriving sector of the economy.”
Additionally, I know it is not only Democrats and some establishment republicans go along with the Democrats. I am just saying that the Tea Party Republicans Explicitly are the best chance we have at regaining some of the libertys stolen from us by the radical left wing ideologues.
