Greg, thank you for your reply. I have not gone looking for actual data previously but have heard "the majority of venomous bites are dry bites," for a long time on various forums at various times and by various people; almost as if it were common knowledge. I am guilty of spreading this misinformation, as I am now finding it to be.

Thank you for your reply TE. This seems to be a recurring number right now: among 20 - 40% (except for Micrurus... )from what I read here and what I have read elsewhere. Enough to let me know we are not speaking of a majority.
