Anyone see the show on AP(Reptile kings search for the lost viper) where they were searching for the tioman pit viper?Anyone see them trying to get the green lizard snake out of the tree(i believe thats what it was)they were shakin this little tree thrashing the snake around, betaing it off other tree branches trying to get it to fall out of the tree, then grabbing and pulling at it i thought it looked abit harsh, but thats my opinion!Plus there was another snake that they forced to regurg and numerous other lizards and frogs that they found that they didnt seem to handle in a easy non stress/injury causing way.So has anyone ever seen or heard of the father/son herpetologist team of lee and jesse grismer?
But anyways is there any info out there on this "tioman viper" i believe the show was about it possibly being a new species they only found and collected 3 specimens(which i also didnt like)thinking you found a new species and then collecting all that you find!Doesnt seem like a feasable way to study the new species possibility. But any info on any of this?Or what anyone else that viewed it thought?

They did not seem professional at all. The father looked like he could own a Gym and the kid looked like a sufer/stoner from the band SUBLIME. They seemed very unprofessional.

Definetely seemed lacking in professionalism, they gave somewhat good info on what they were finding it was just how they found them and what they did to get them, and what they did with them once caught that was lacking.Seemed like it was just a class field trip with a half witted substitute teacher out to find a new species to me.

This is true, Phillip KNOWS all from all his vast years of a venomous keeper. Hey, got a question, just ask Phillip. Oh yeah, he read all of the books here in the forum.

Hi:
I caught this show last night. It seemed like a typical field herping expedition in that part of the world. Been there, done that!
Ya know..sometimes catching an animal in the field gets a little rougher that anybody would like, just the nature of the situation. Nobody wants to take a "hit" from and hot snake that far out in the boonies.

I watched it. The son seemed like he was showing off with his skills. The father seemed knowledgable. The others seemed like they were just stoner friends who wanted to get in on the action. Did you see them catching the water monitor? Everyone had their hands on it. I bet that monitor was scared for its life. I didnt like the part where they made the snake puke his meal up. It thought that it was unneccassary. I could put on a better show than that.

Showing off?? I think Philip and yourself know a thing or two about showing off. Free handling Canebrakes, tailing King Cobras, tailing baby Copperheads. What it all has in common is it's all for the Camera!! Nobody has room to call someone else a showoff.

I said that I think he was showing off. I never said that I dont show off. I wasnt showing off with the king cobra. I just wanted a picture with it. And freehandling the canebrake, That was no big deal to me. If I see another snake that I think I can free handle.....Ill do it again. I free handled that king cobra too, I just didnt post that picture. He asked what everyones opinion was so I gave him mine. People need to respect others opinions. That was my true opinion. I didnt say that it was bad to show off. Im not going to lie and cover up what I believe just to satisfy others. Im going to start filming myself catching wildlife. I already have started little "clips" with me and a few copperheads and me climbing trees. I plan on making wildlife documentarys in the future. I cant wait until this summer so I can get some more good shots. Im already on the trail of a black bear. Im going to film it sometime this week. My uncle came down for the weekend from Arizona and told me that he knows some good spots for cougars around his place. I need to get some good shots of wild cougars also.

Hey anonymous,
Why don't stop being a pussy and tell who you are. You say I'm a show off. Then I think almost everyone else is. Everyone who post a picture with them holding snakes. Every snake except the king cobra I was about to bag and keep. I do try to do it in a very profesional manner. I am not walking around with my shirt off yelling tons of profenities like the show last night. If you want talk trash at least tell who you are.
