One thing I have used to kill mites is to put the snake in a tub with 75%water and 25% listerine. It has enough alcohol to kill the mites. Also you can get at Walmart some lice killer which you can put on the snake that kills them too.

Is the lice killer really safe to spray right on the snake? I have used this in empty cages, then cleaned them good the next day before putting the snake back in the cage. Has any one had any bad experiences spraying this on their animals?

The water/listerine thing works pretty good. I tried it on a gaboon I used to have and it got rid of everyone of the mites.

I was not saying that Listerine did not work, I just think it's funny that all of the cures suggested by Phillip contain Alcohol. I was just teasing Phillip.
BTW: I know you're aware it's illegal to keep exotic hot in Georgia but you seem to be above the laws keeping Gabbys and who knows what else. Maybe DNR needs to look you up and pay you a visit just to make sure you don't have anything you should not have.

I actually dont keep any snakes anymore. Not even nonvenomous, but I used to have all kinds of exotics. I never plan to keep snakes anymore. But seriously, who can really stop someone from doing what they want to do? I am not a rebel or anything, but I have never let anyone tell me what I can or cannot do. I will feel that way until I die. Of course I will follow the laws that need to be followed, but I have never NOT done something just because someone tells me not to. At the time I knew good and well that they were illegal, but I liked certain exotics.....then I purchased those same snakes. I kept them and learned about them. Thats what I had planned for my future career. They ONLY reason I got rid of them is because I couldnt give them the full attention and care they needed.
